No Checks and Money orders on eBay

September 24th, 2008 | Posted in Rest of Internet

I think this month is all about changes to the networks first of all I posted that how Axill.in has changed their network name, there are few others too and now its turn for eBay to have a change.

eBay Changes
The change eBay has done is because of the security reasons as they claimed. The recent change to the FAQ section announced that there have been policy changes. eBay declared that the only acceptable payment methods on purchasing are the following:

  • PayPal
  • Credit or debit card payment to seller
  • ProPay, or
  • Payment upon pickup

No checks and money orders allowed. This has been done to provide more secure buying experience for buyer and seller too.

Also, there are some exceptions to the current policy and basically it is that products like automobile, heavy machinery, real estate, and mature audiences items will be excluded from this policy.

More
I don’t think that anyone who is serious in buying on ebay will have any issue with this new payment policy. Moreover, I think that sellers will be happy as they are receiving cash faster through these payment methods.

Also, I hope that this new payment method will help in decreasing spam and unauthorized selling activity too.

Rap Battle Between Search Engines

September 23rd, 2008 | Posted in Rest of Internet

Interesting videos are coming out to me this week. First it was the Microsoft employees’ life at office and now it’s a rap battle between search engines. Ah! I forgot to mention the name of search engines which are being battle in rap they are Google vs MSN.

These are not the official entry from any search engines but as the information looks on for the video there is some group of users who rap this song and they have also made a website i.e., searchenginerapbattle.com and they have included different kind of raps in it such as: Yahoo vs Google and MSN vs Yahoo!

Nice video and has also been nicely rap. So, just enjoy, nothing else.

Important Network News – Axill.in Has Changed

September 22nd, 2008 | Posted in Rest of Internet, Business

I received an email of an important network update. You must have read the axill.in review on my blog. The network change news is related to them only.

Nothing to worry! As you must know about Axill.in network has been active in India for a while with their foreign subsidiaries of axill.com and axill.co.uk.

Update from Axill
They have changed themselves from axill to SMXchange-WEB. As detailed information provided by Axill that who are SMXchange-WEB:

SMX – web is a revolutionary Internet advertising and publisher network, which focuses on enabling optimized inventory management to match the evolving needs of online advertisers.

SMX – web pools the inventory from multiple websites, getting them on a common platform and offers advertisers a single window solution with complete control of their online campaigns. SMX – web has thousands of leading websites, which collectively deliver over 1 Billion impressions per month, making it India’s largest online affiliate network.

Promise from Axill
Axill has also mentioned in their declaration email that with their new name they will continue the operations with same team. So for people who would be worried about a complete makeover they should not worry as they will have the same team to serve them as previously with axill.

Rest everything remains the same. No change in the account area also, with the same looks. The only change I can think that could happen to the network is you can see some more attractive and new offers in your account area. As per the posture of the new home page looks like.

People need more education in the matters of hosting, particularly where people do not know how much the domain names matter in marketing.
