How to Protect Your Identity from Being Theft
Few days ago I was watching TV and a technology program made a blunder on giving tips how to be safe on Internet. The reason I felt so because I get many people posting on webmaster forums or other forums that their ID is been theft.
The ID theft is because of some negligence at user end. This may be due to some malware installed on your computer due to some mishappening or may be some fishing emails.
But the easiest solution, which I have felt that you can also apply is just install any antivirus software and for Internet browsing use firefox only and keep the windows firewall on.
Not only this – as this was the basic requirement of getting security – but also I am talking how you can be so sure that the site you open is the real original site. Though this kind of thing is available in Internet Explorer – but I prefer to use firefox.
When you login to accounts and accounts which are more sensitive just as your credit card account username and password or paypal or any other where you want to be so sure about what you are seeing – try a simple thing.
Use the password store feature of firefox – this will allow firefox to automatically detect when you open paypal and your ID and passwords will be automatically entered by firefox.
So, you can be pretty sure that what you are seeing is real and if that is not real firefox will not enter your ID-password automatically.
And if you use firefox – on the other hand it will automatically detect if there is any fishing site or real site and it will automatically block the access.
Not a pro-trick – a very simple trick to follow and you can be protected from identity theft.
Whopping Fee Structure for Sitepoint
Recent change to sitepoint listings is greatly affecting the internet buying and selling websites. If you know about sitepoint then you must be knowing about the marketplace of sitepoint. It is one of the premium and most trusted webmaster marketplace and people do buy a lot of websites from it and so does the sellers of the websites.
But now I think due to a recent change in sitepoint marketplace its getting tougher for anyone who were thinking to make some money by listing there website for sale – or even if you were the one who does list website or was thinking of listing a website for sale at $199 or $299 believe me – sitepoint is no longer your place to do so.
Whopping Fees
Sitepoint fee structure changes as they shifted the marketplace to new destination that’s flippa.com – just a glimpse of their fee structure – that how much you will be affected by it:
If you put a site for sale at $299:
Sitepoint listing fees: $19
Upon site selling: 5% of the amount at which site sells.
If you receive payment by paypal then another: $20 (approx gone in paypal fees)
Effective price of site you will get: $245.05
The effective price if your site sells at first go – and if its not – then just deduct $19 more from the total.
No Categorization
Previously sitepoint marketplace was easy to go with – if you have startup website you would have been charged less but with the current changes – they are charging flat to all. Looking at the current market scenario when there is a liquidity crunch all over – people don’t have enough money to sustain for their business then also they are charging so heavily.
May be they listen
The purpose of this post is to throw some light on their decision of keeping such a fee structure – we all love sitepoint marketplace as you can get value of your services but keeping this structure it would be difficult for many users to cope with the pricing.
May sitepoint administration read this post and do something for pricing and keep up the buyer and seller spirits high.
Why You Should Use Netbook
You must have heard about the new nano laptop technology netbooks – these are the small sized laptops with full functional features. You can do anything on these – these small sized machines give a great backup time of up to 7hrs.
I would recommended for every blogger to must have this small tool along with you whenever you want a mobile computing – its easy to use – huge backup time and very handy – usually the screen size starts from 7-8” but I will recommend that to have atleast 10-12” screen size as its easy to view and type the content.
To Have Netbook
For living a blogger life you need to serve better and be consistent with new ideas and thoughts for your readers. Therefore netbook helps you in all these – if you are bored from your home office – just move out to any park with your most handy blogging tool netbook and there you begin.
Laptops are bulky tools and usually needs more space to carry on the other hand netbook can just be your planner size or at par with it.
As you never know when a idea or a post hit your mind and you can instantly post it to your blog.
Some Brands
Netbooks are new technology that runs on Intel Atom Processor and the netbooks – good ones – come with a 1GB ram and decent size hard drive. Some of the leading brands that you can consider for buying are:

The Day 20 April
This might be a normal day for everyone else but people who know me it’s a real special day – and I have been quietly and silently celebrating this day – to be precise myself only.
There is a long-long story behind this date but that I think is too personal to mention it here but to give everyone an Idea – what this date means to me.
20 April
This is the birth date of a very-very special friend of mine – I hope everyone understand what “very-very special” means. Of course she is female friend.
But the tragic is we have not met since 2002 so it has been long since we have met – but I still remember her and her birth date and every detail to which we have spoken almost 7+ years ago.
I would not mention her name because I don’t know where she is – I have not found any contacts of her or not of her friend’s also – I have searched all over Internet – therefore I will not mention her name – may be she is married and I don’t want that she should be in problem for this.
But If
I was thinking of making a blog post ever since I started blogging but could not write for may be some reasons – but I continue to post on the city websites – birthday message in a hope that she will read.
May be I am too late – but I will not stop trying till the last breath - I could write this post forever without concluding it – but that is not my aim.
If you are reading it – I would like to wish you “A Very Happy Birthday”
Promoting a Product and Not Reviewing Correctly
Now just beware of the fact – if you are blogger and you are promoting a kind of product or service with review and only review the positive points or not reviewing it correctly than you might be at risk.
FTC is about to regulate the blogs and other social media networks where people do such kind of thing. The reason of doing so is said “People are not reviewing the correct information or product exactly and this is creating problems for others who buy or opt for the product – hence the reviewing authority should be liable for this”.
Also, they are relating to the other leaders in the market such as Microsoft – Pepsi etc that certain reviews or word-of-mouth have affected the marketing of such brands also.
What I Feel
Okay if they are regulating such blogs or review they may be right on their front that companies or products, which are misrepresented, have to incur much loss in sales and marketing.
On the other hand I do feel that blogs are becoming such a powerful tool that they can affect the major Superbrands of the market.
Great Going!

Since the blogging landed in India – we all are blogging at all the issues but we are still lacking on some issues that could relate to the world. We might have to think about the issues relating to India and Indianess.

Spammers are Frustrated Marketers
Have you seen the content of spam that your blog receives or of any forum – I am pointing to the content of the spam? What do I feel is the spammers how they are made not they are planned but they are the frustrated marketers.
How Frustrated
In blogs if you have watched closely while deleting the spam – you might have seen the language they are writing anything or just the same thing.
If the blog post is related to marketing they will be talking of medicines (that different kind of medicine
) so does any normal person would do that – I could only expect this from a frustrated user.
Then, after being spammed for once and not getting the post approved. They come again and again and post the same shit. They are really frustrated.
Moreover, they do need to get some knowledge before getting in to this spam field that there are spam guards activated in the website these days and for blogs (wordpress) a very powerful Akismet is there which can protect.
So, if spammers get some knowledge about this they would not spam or rather will think about other ways of spamming.
